Not an outstanding campsite - but workable for an overnight, even being right next to the portage. The landing is rough, with a slippery (when wet) rock/slabby area to climb to the campsite. The campsite does sit high above the water with good north views of the little bay.

A welcome site after a long into the wind paddle from American Point. Nice secluded site with great sunset view of west bay. We used the landing to the east (left), leaving a small climb up to the site. Tent pads nicely secluded from the kitchen area and site has several great hammock trees. Great rock outcropping give nice views and you feel surprisingly secluded despite nearness to portage. Great walleye fishing on west end of narrows on the north side of the pennisula.

Seclusion, not easily visible from water. Great sunset views, private bay, despite any possible traffic. poor landing to left of granite slab. shade & sun. falls and narrows nearby.

North facing, so very slippery with algae and very wet. Not the worst site I've stayed at, but nothing is easy or convenient in this site.
2 pads, lots of blow downs, and very slick terrain.
Pads are tree covered, lots of bugs, not much wind to keep them away.
Very quiet, and not a lot of traffic.
There is a gorgeous portage with a small bit of falls to the south.

HUGE granite slab sloping to the water's edge marks the campsite. One could paddle by without seeing kitchen area. Difficult landing area to the east in the spruce trees; a temporary stepping out spot on a small ledge on the west side. Nice view of the western end. Good breeze with sunset and stars viewing.
Tough to get water and gear up to site. Some traffic. Not a place for sleepwalkers.
