Awesome private site on a private lake - if you get there first. Nice swimming hole and rock perch to watch the loons. Kitchen and best tent pads are a bit separated - but, it's worth it.

Secluded site on a small lake. There is a lot of traffic on the west side of the lake, but you will not see much at this site. Nice view of the lake from the kitchen. A couple of level tent pads, though the one by the water might get flooded in the rain. Landing is easy - you can parallel park the canoe by some flat rocks and some sand (not a beach, just a little bit of sand in the water). The kids enjoyed exploring the island and finding some very spongy moss on the north side.

A very nice secluded site. Only saw 1 pair paddle by an hour or so after we got there. It is a decent size. I agree with the tent site closest to the lake (optional 4th) could get water drainage. Also there is a large widow maker... in the making...maybe not soon, but eventually it will come down. The optional 4th is by the other flatter 2 sites up from the fire grate area... a little on the sloped side for my taste. We were hammock camping and the site could easily accommodate 4 or 5... and that is just in the 2/3 tent sites up the fire grate. I have no doubt more options abound. The seclusion was fantastic. Having the lake to your self made for awesome evenings and being able to explore the paths around the island. There was protection from the wind but would let just enough through to keep evening bugs away.

Agree that is a nice private sight. Woods and wind protected location could produce a lot of bugs.

Awesome site. Perfect size lake to have all to yourself. Open space for a lunch stop. People passing through the Cone Lakes on their way to Winchell wont come anywhere near you. Good swimming areas.

A very nice secluded site that we didnt see any people at for two days. Its a fairly big site, but beware of the tent pad closest to the lake. We got rained on and this flooded like a pool-tent stayed dry though!! Also a great pair of trees to hang hammock from if you follow the path from the campsite just a bit. The seclusion was what I really liked about this site.
