This hiking site sits up on a high ridge in a quiet section of disappointment. There's not a lot of tree cover left so it's pretty brushy now. Not much opportunity for canoe groups to utilize it with the steep ridge down to the water and the brush makes it very tough to find while paddling by.

Campsite has suffered terribly in a windstorm, with fallen trees covering most of the site. At one time it was beautiful, but now the fallen tree trunks have rendered most of the site unusable. Bear hang may be difficult, if it is possible at all. I would not attempt a hammock at the site. There's room for one tent, and it will be tight.
Landing is so-so, and expect quite a climb to the site. But it should be breezy. Latrine is one of the new ones, with a lid.
On an otherwise very busy Disappointment, this is one of the few sites that was unoccupied. It may be worth it in a pinch, but we pressed on. Still, this site gets an extra star for being unoccupied on an otherwise busy lake.

Elevated campsite with a great view of the narrow section of lake. The fire pit is located at least 50 feet from the shoreline, so don't expect too many views from the seating area. The Snowbank Trail cuts right through the middle of this site, so be prepared for visitors along the trail. The landing is decent, but not easy by any means.
