Nopiming Campsite Bird River-Elbow Lake 10 on Elbow

This is the smaller campsite on the east side of the island. Paddling towards the island from the south you can see the white sign marking the campsite on a rocky point on the east. The put in is on the other side of the point. The actual campsite is more hidden. The campsite only has 2 possible pads but when I saw it it had a weird layout. Someone put the picnic table on one tent pad in the trees and a bear box right beside the other tent pad. Whomever placed the bear boxes didn't seem to understand bear safety at all, they should be a certain distance from the sleeping area. The bear boxes are useless as they are filling up with garbage anyways. On the rocky overlook there is another fire pit overlooking the water. There is an old outhouse with no toilet seat but just a bit farther is a newer outhouse. It is shared with campsite 9 though which is the large campsite on the south side of the island. This site wouldn't be bad for a small group and would be higher rated if it was rearranged a bit.
