Great site, multiple tent sites and plenty of trees for hammocks. Fun island to explore and great views. We were there in September so there weren't any bugs. Kitchen area was open with plenty of room.

Beautiful site, but unbelievably buggy in spring 2023. Considered leaving on my first full day of my first solo trip because I was trapped in the Bugout tarp if I didn't want to be assaulted by mosquitoes and blackflies 24/7. The firepit has been moved since 2016, and is much further back in the woods now, which is a shame as the view from the cliff is great, though the firepit area is still nice. Great tarp and hammock options and I'm sure several good tent pads as well. The only landing I saw was a bit far away on the nearby peninsula, but it's a lovely sandy beach that clearly sees a lot of use. Overall nice site, I just hit it during one of the buggiest springs in recent memory.

Can't speak highly enough of this site. We stayed for almost an entire week (seems one of our group suffered from motion sickness... how you don't know that...) Anyway, multiple good tent sites, one especially on the back (east) side of the site which overlooks the main part of the lake. A couple of the tent sites can be an issue in heavy rain, depending on your tent of course. Great exploring areas, kids loved it, but if they're younger they need supervision, lots of rocks/holes/cracks to check out.
Overall a 4.5, with the only issue being the landing areas. Best is well to the SW of the camp, which makes for a 10 rod portage on it's own. Best camp I saw on the lake though, great group site.

great, open site with good views. nice fire/kitchen area. landing is easy with a short haul to camp (land below and to the right of camp rock). exposed to west and south winds!

Scenic site set in red pines. The landing, though muddy and weedy, is easy. The landing is a little ways from the main part of the site. The kitchen sits on top of a 10 foot cliff and affords a great view to the south and west. It is protected from the north and east. It didn't appear to be a great swimming area (at least from the landing) because of the mud and weeds.
