The island is small. Most of it is red pines. Landing is on the east side of the island. It is gravel with three "corrals" for motorboats. The kitchen and main part of the site is on the north side in a red pine grove. It is only somewhat protected from the wind. When I was there, there was a light west wind that could be felt at the kitchen but not the landing. Two of the tent pads are by the landing, the rest are in the kitchen area.
