Great site for a solo. I was in a hammock so the tent pads were not an issue. Seemed to be a few decent ones. Never found a good tree for the bear barrel so I just walked it into the woods and nothing got to it. Latrine had a large flat rock on top of it to keep it critter and rain free. I enjoyed this site and would stay here again.

The landing is a shallow, bay-like area with a slightly sandy bottom. If wet-footing, it is a really easy take-out. If not wet-footing, the rock hopping is kind of difficult. The campsite has quite a bit of grass. There are a couple of flat tent pads down a trail; it looks like they could be muddy in wet weather. There is another possible tent pad by the kitchen. The last tent pad is up the hill; it would be dry, but it is a little rocky and not completely level. It is on the top of the hill and has a great view of the lake. The swimming area was shallow, but the wading area was great for kids chasing minnows.

The kitchen area is about the best part of this one and the only reason for even 2 stars IMHO. Tons of flat rocks...the rest is ho-hum. Good tent pad could be soggy and the other is rocky. What Ben said is also true.
