This site is looking especially rough right now. It's the first one out of the motor zone, but time has not been kind. The old grate location is down by the water, but the grate is now broken and overgrown, down trees lay across the site. There is a tent pad though which I suppose is a plus. It's just not worth staying here.

This was a great spot for me and my daughter after a late start from the EP. We arrived late and it was empty and we were happy campers. Fishing off the bank resulted in a nice fish right at sunset casting spinners. Good view. Fire pit is by the water and a bit wind blown, but also very scenic. Camp is sloped and small but well used and clean. The better spot up the lake near the portage was full, so if this wasn't open we would have had another portage. Definitely grab it if you can!

The site is exposed and is mostly sloping rocks. The landing area is rocky. The trees are not near the fire pit. There is one decent location for a tent. Overall, it is a serviceable camp in a pinch.

Landing is a sloping rock that would be slippery when wet. Kitchen is on a large granite face with a great view. No shade by the fire grate. Overall, we liked the site.

Hilly, but I would have taken anything after battling the wind solo through Loon Lake and finding the northern campsite taken.
