This is a medium sized campsite in a lightly traveled area of the southeast part of Karl Lake. It has a good fire grate/kitchen area and we were able to easily set up 2- 3person tents. The site has a good flat rock landing that makes it easy to access the campsite. Plenty of room for storing the canoes.

One great site (level, cushioned, shaded), one good site (also protected but had some roots), and at least one other site (some runoff risk). Breeze and light come from the east and west, and there is good shade. Convenient but private location at the junction of Karl and Long Island. Smooth rock landing area, and no problem stashing 2 canoes.

The best thing about this site is the privacy. You probably will not see anyone go by. It is in a shallow, weedy bay off the main travel route. No good swimming area - very weedy. The landing was a smooth sloping rock, but it was a little difficult at the current water levels because it was just slight underwater - could not get close to the shore because we bottomed out. View from kitchen was decent.

Overall okay site though not big enough for our large tent. Also rather exposed to the weather due to facing west.

This was a nice site, though the pads are probably too small for bigger tents. It is right near the point, mostly facing west with good privacy since most people travelling by north/south stay to the far west shore. Good tree cover for shade too. The only knock is there isn't canoe storage by the landing, but there was a nice clearing behind the fire pit where we were able to store it.
