To start with the good, it has great scenery. When you climb to the peak of the campsite, you can view the falls as well as the river entry with a beautiful cove where the dragonflies are flying and the beavers are collecting their dinner. It's a quiet and peaceful site in that it is removed from the main flow of traffic. It has multiple locations to shore fish, including attempting to fish the falls.
We were able to fit three tents. Two small tents next to the cook site and one more on another flat space nearby. This site would not be suitable for more than what we managed.
Now the downfalls. One downfall (as mentioned by another review) is that being removed, it can be risky to plan on if you don't leave yourself enough time/energy to paddle back if it's already taken. Another downfall is that it is a multilayer site, meaning that it has a lot of ups and downs, some of which are more precarious than others. This site is not great for elderly or movement-restricted individuals. The biggest downfall is the latrine. It is quite a distance over terrain that isn't always easy to traverse. For gentlemen, who make nature their bathroom, this isn't as much of an issue as they can limit their bathroom visits to just sitting needs. For ladies, this increases the chances of needing to make other bathroom arrangements for peeing when in a rush or not willing to make the hike. The other result of a difficult latrine location is the discovery of used toilet paper in a few spots just off the beaten paths of the site. Individuals who have been too lazy to dig a hole and instead chose to throw their paper into the brush. Very disappointing. The final downfall is that the camp cook site is that it is very sun exposed and the rest of the space offers little shade in the heat of the day.
In conclusion, I would not choose this campsite again. I would visit it on a day paddle to view the falls and even climb up to see the views if it was vacant.

Camped here with my 7 yr old. Very small site. Very pretty but long hike to latrine, very rocky single tent pad very close to fire grate. Close to the rapids so theoretically good fishing (though we caught nothing here).
Chancy site for a late arrival since there is nothing close if this one is occupied. Saw several folks arrive late in the day with disappointment etched in their faces. Sorry.
Big storm 7/20/2016 had at least 6 trees down all over the site including over fire grate. Tried to move them but too heavy... Thankfully none came down on our tent.

Two landings-one sand and mud w/steep up. other rocks and roots with short but steep up. One good tent site very near fire grate. Small kitchen/central area. Several good sets of hammock trees.
