Visited on a Friends of the BW National Trail Day hike. This one's nice enough. It's closed in as many trail sites are, but it's on such a nice quiet lake with good pine coverage that I am inclined to rate it a little higher than I otherwise might have.

Better than average for a hike in site. A beaver dam crossing & some fairly tough climbs if you come in from the most direct route from the Kekekabic Hiking Trail. The site is situated on a slope above the lake with a decent view from the fire grate. However, there is a bunch of blowdown in the area making lake access a bit of a struggle. There are a number of reasonably flat tent pads just behind the fire grate. With all the blow down in the immediate area it kind of has a brushy, 'messy' feel but, as stated, you could do a lot worse. Becoosin is a very scenic lake.

We backpacked in and this campsite was ok. By canoe you'd be some distance to the landing.
