In my opinion, this site would be much better if the Forest Service has chosen to put the campsite on the point instead of where they did (I took a photo of where I thought the campsite should be). Instead, the campsite is down near the water instead of up in the trees. The landing is good - lot of room to land and pull up the canoe. The fire grate is almost right next to the landing next to the river. There is one OK tent pad up in the trees. A small tent may fit next to the fire grate - we put up a tarp here to wait out a storm, and it worked just fine for that. The bugs were OK if the breeze was out of the west; otherwise, they were pretty bad. I rated it 1-star, but it is a usable 1-star.
