A maintained USFS campsite #232427 for cars trucks campers, lake access via campsite or public landing on Iron Lake. Access from County Road 92 off of the Gunflint Trail. Part of the 2007 Ham Lake Fire, trees are recovering nicely. Has a water spigot and indoor vault toilets. 7 Campsites, 6 you can reserve online and 1 is FF first come first serve. May 9 - Aug 20, $24. This is also a legal entry for Skipper / Portage EP 49, leading through Portage, One Island, and into the BWCAW at Rush Lake; 2 permits per day. The other entry is off of Poplar Lake.
