Big white pines and some red pines. The landing is OK - rocks, but someone made corrals for motorboats. The two good tent pads are right next to each other, and they could be one large tent pad instead. Pine needle carpet. There is a trail to a point to the west. That point tricked me into landing there first. The fire grate can be clearly seen from the water, so do not be tricked into landing there.

This site worked fine for a last minute overnight on a solo trip when I realized I wouldn't make it back to my car on Vermilion before dark. Someone had left quite a mess of cut branches and parts of a tree that they had dragged into camp. There was at least one decent place for a small tent. I don't think a large group could comfortably use this site. The landing was somewhat awkward and rocky, but negotiable. The kitchen is arranged decently with good logs to sit on, and is fairly sheltered with a limited view. This is a functional site for a solo or tandem crew on their way in or out.
