This campsite is the first campsite on Potters lake from the usual route from Canoe lake. There are several negatives with getting to all campsites on this lake, namely that the water level going up potters creek tends to be low except early in the year (eg. May). You end up scraping the bottom of your canoe on many rocks and need to get out and walk the canoe up a significant portion of potters creek. Being the first campsite you unfortunately get the amateurs stopping here realizing they bit off more than they can chew. It also accumulates junk they did not want to carry back with them (chairs, pots, etc). It's a real shame people can't leave wilderness the way they found it. Like the other campsites on this lake there is the negative of having a road that runs on the west side of the lake (going to Brule cottages). So if you want wilderness the cars are going to detract from the experience of you paddling/portaging all the way here, but if you want an escape route in case of an emergency then I guess that is a positive. Note I was by myself so didn't really pay attention to how many good tent sites there are.
