This is a very large campsite. The entry is beachy in September, water was pretty low though. It's located on a penninsula, so it has water access on 3 sides, but not all suitable for entry. There are well cleared paths to the water from the main area around the campfire. One was used as a drying line for us because the wind was coming in there. We had clouds in the mornings, but I imagine sunrises are also good on that side and sunsets near the landing.
I counted 5 tent pads, but likely one could squeeze in more, and there are definitely many spots for hanging hammocks. The trees are strong and a fair distance apart.
The campfire pit is well set up well and has many stones for building up a wind block. There were 2 metal grates.
Many trees have nails, and there is a food hanging chain in the woods.
The only problem with a campsite of this size and proximity to water (we guess), and that is the long hike to the thunder box. It was at the far back of the site. There is a sign indicating it's there, but one needs faith to hike far enough to find it.
One day we hiked to the portage to Stratton Lake, which is rocky, but was fun for the kids. It was close at 400-500m.
