This is likely the best site on the lake. It is massive. There are at least 6 good solid tent sites, and probably room for 2-3 more if needed. The site has a great fire pit with a couple of decent benches, and, set a little further away, a kitchen area with a narrow but useful counter made from a split log mounted between two stumps. The boat launch/landing doesnt provide a sloped entry to the water so it's tough to load-in or -out without getting your feet wet, but it is in a nice sandy bottom swim area which is one of the best features of the site. The only real drawback of the site is that it does not have any great rock or beach area for sunbathing, but few of the sites on this lake have that (Island site does, as does the site right next to the portage to Hot Lake). The site is also on a west-facing point which gets a lot of wind so keeps the bugs away and helps feed the fire and keep smoke flowing in one direction inland away from the lake. The west-facing point also provides beautiful sunsets. The site is quite shady so don't count on the sun warming up much under the canopy. This is great for keeping cool on super hot days mid-summer, but i'd imagine in spring or fall it might be a bit of a drawback for keeping warm during the day.
