It was after dark when we set off to search for this one. It took us awhile, but we were ready to make camp. We finally found the steep rock face that runs up to the site. The topography makes it tough to find tent pads, but it is beautiful. The only downside over 4th of July weekend was that we could hear fireworks on Vermillion from here. Sigh.... No leaving civilization behind entirely.

The campsite is covered in young red pines, which leads me to believe that it probably burned 10-15 years ago. The landing is steep. The kitchen is OK. The campsite is small. There is only one tent pad. The swim area is shallow and semi-rocky.
