This was really nice campsite. I appreciated how close the nearby shore was, the good swimming out front, and the large mature red pines throughout the campsite. The landing is indeed a little rocky, and we had a momentary scare about the canoe when we didn't realize we had set it on a rock while loading (thankfully, we avoided catastrophe). As someone else noted, when the best tent pad was slightly depressed, and did lead to pooling when an unexpected storm blew through. We were able to push most of the water downhill with our canoe paddles since the storm hit during the day, but that would have been a wet bummer at night. I'd come back, but hammocking might be an even better choice at this campsite - endless opportunities.

In dry conditions this is probably a 5. But we had 2 really heavy rainstorms and the fire pit area fills with water because it's a bit depressed...as was one of our tent sites, which brought water to the tent. Lake water level was very low when we visited which made landing and launching a bit difficult among all the rocks. Those are the only complaints. Fishing on the north side of the island was awesome. Feed ourselves with as many smallmouth as we wanted each night. Amazing sunset views to the west.

Nice canoe landing. One of the better kitchen areas I've come across. Only drawback is there isn't a great view from the firegrate. Plenty of nice trees around. Entire island can be explored without too much trouble.

The campsite has a very nice kitchen. There is a flat "preparing" rock and nice benches surrounding the fire grate. The site is in an open stand of pines. A huge boulder marks the entrance of the site. The landing is rocky, but it is a "nice" rocky landing. The swimming area consists of slippery rocks. There is also a "honeymoon suite" down a short path from the main camp area. The tent pad and view there were very, very nice.
