This site served as a base camp for 5 nights. Good landing, with only a couple of larger underwater rocks to watch. Beautiful view of the lake from the fire pit. Plenty of trees for hammocks or tarps and good bear tree. Two tent spots are fine but the rest are hilly. Latrine is a short walk back and very private. Good fishing from shore. The site served us well.

I had friends taking a family trip here while I was taking a solo. I met up for dinner with them at their site (this one) but didn't stay in it myself. Like the previous review noted, there aren't really many flat tent pads. They were just using hammocks, so it didn't matter. The fire pit area and the landings were nice here though, and it was definitely better that the site I was staying at.

I would rate this site between 3 and 4 stars. The site is terraced. The kitchen is on the lowest terrace next to the lake. The tent area is on the highest terrace. As with most of the campsites in the area, it is set in a stand of red pines. The fire pit is very large (meaning the rock pile is very tall). The tent pads are a bit rounded - I couldn't find a completely flat spot to put a tent. The swimming area looked to be fairly decent but full of little rocks that may or may not be sharp.
