This is a beautiful open site set amongst big pines on the point of a peninsula giving you good views to the west, south and east. Plenty of space for tents or hammocks and many food hanging branches. We only stayed here one night but it would make a great spot if you were planning to base camp on Crab. Fire pit is more or less in the center of the camp. Landing is pretty good and somewhat protected but you do have to go up a small hill to camp. Latrine was a bit of a hike. There are also a couple of trails leading back to a small bay on the backside and into the woods.

The campsite is set in the pines. The landing was OK - not the easiest, but it wasn't too bad. The kitchen is in the middle of the pines, so there isn't much of a lake view from the grate (the pines look magnificent, though). Since it faces west, it should get a breeze. The main campsite is on a peninsula. The shore loops around to another peninsula that you could probably put one or two tents on. Overall, a really nice site.
