Lovely site, with an expansive view of Crab Lake. Landing was fine. Good bass fishing from rocks near the site. Soft pine needles for tent padding. We left the fly off and looked up at the stars. Excellent grate and kitchen area. We had a bald eagle perch on a tree across the little bay at night and in the morning. We picked this site so that we could get an early start for our portage out the next morning. However, even though the portage was around the corner, few people came into our little bay. Very relaxing stay.

Beautiful site. Lots of room for tents, lots of big pine trees for tarp setup, firegrate overlooking water, decent dropoffs for fishing. Landing is very easy, but approach way to the right side as you paddle toward the site. Anywhere else would be difficult. Great place to be stuck if you're windbound, as there are trails all over the place to explore and a ton of blueberry plants. Relatively close to the portage, but by no means is it a highway.

Someone has constructed a handy rock dock for a landing. It's about the only decent place to land. Large red pines provide shelter & tarp options as well as pine duff for several nice tent pads. Nice view of the lake and there is potential for wildlife sightings in the nearby creek/swamp.

other than being close to a busy portage, I really liked this site. It sits in a nice stand of pines and catches a decent breeze from the West. The tent pads were fairly level and have a nice covering of soft pine needles.

The campsite is among pines. The landing is OK. The campsite faces north, so I don't think it gets much sun. I would also doubt that there is much of a breeze. The bay to the west of the campsite looked boggy. I would assume that the campsite could get a little buggy. There were clouds of little flying insects all around when we visited. However, it is still a decent campsite.
