Like others have said, we were hoping for the island site but it was occupied and this spot serves as a decent back up plan rather than backtracking or pushing through.
Smaller site that is fairly well closed-in. We hiked around the woods a little bit and there are plenty of flora to examine. It's a beautiful area! We easily fit two single-person tents on good spots. The landing is fine. Most of camp is close to water but dense growth limits views unless out front.
We enjoyed fishing the shoreline of the lake. Just a really cool place.

Planned on going to site 2007, on the big island on Gijikiki, but it was occupied. Stayed at this site for one night and it was decent. A couple spots for 4 man tents are accessible and comfortable. 2 man tents would do better at this site. Firepit was placed nicely and the site was protected from the wind. Easy access to the portage back out to Ottertrack.

This site is well shrouded and shaded. A small but noticeable landing is a bit rocky. The water out front of camp is shallow for a ways out. The site has a closed in feel to it; the log seating was sparse and the fire grate wasn't facing the lake. Still, it's a nice second option on this beautiful lake.

A mysterious and problematic campsite, our party searched for its existence but found not even a trace.

Nice private site among lots of pine trees.
