Low site, shaded by cedars. Bugs not bad for the time of year. Great location on the lake with easy access and several landing options. Secluded from wind and boat traffic. Plenty of Firewood around campsite. Spacious for 2, would be tight for any more than 4. In wet periods, only one tent pad may be high enough to be dry.

Landing was okay but there were multiple tent options in the site itself. Lots of good hammock options as well. The site has a rocky point that extends out from it that is very conducive to fishing. We caught fish from both sides of the point. I would definitely stay here again.

Really nice site on a peninsula in an eastern bay of Hanson. Spent 4 nights base camping here in late June. Overall, this is a really solid campsite.
Pros: decent smallmouth fishing from camp, very little canoe traffic around camp, good swimming, very spacious, solid fire grate area, close proximity to PMA/day trips
Cons: extremely buggy at night, kitchen area isn't completely flat and doesn't have much space for seating, landings are rocky and can be quite slippery

Very low campsite with a long narrow peninsula out into the lake. Most of the camp is in shaded cedars with one tent site out near the peninsula. Low and buggy when we visited following a rain for a snack.

We didn't much care what the site looked like by the time we pulled in. We stopped in and dropped of the stuff, and two of us took off for the PMA. Real pretty site and lots of options for hammock set up.
