This was a decently large-sized site on its own private bay. There were five of us here, with three tents and three hammocks. It was a stretch finding good hammock trees, but we made it work. Hanging the bear bag was also difficult, because many of the trees are smaller with weak limbs.
We also had a bear encounter on this site. A curious black bear was scoping out our camp (and seemingly making his way towards our food barrel) when one of our group members noticed him. It was broad daylight and we were all sitting around camp, right next to our food. We were able to scare him away after a few minutes of trying.
We also saw a moose and her two calves across the bay drinking water and bathing. And, of course, lots of Eagles and loons. In other words, this is a great site if your goal is to see wildlife.
This site had a long walk to the latrine, but other than that there really weren't any trails for exploring. Most of our time was spent enjoying the view from the fire pit area. It was very private, and felt like we were on our own little lake.

This is a secluded campsite on a bay in Red Rock Lake. The site is large and features a prominent rock outcropping. Many tall (lodge pole?) pines are found at the site. There is abundant firewood and the latrine is easy to find. Hammocking was a favorite activity here. We stayed two nights. The bay is beautiful especially after sunset. Tent sites are fair to good.
