Great site with lake view on 3 sides. Two obvious tent pads, one of which was big enough for a 6 person tent. Definitely exposed to wind, so that's good and bad. Bear trees are in short supply, but we made do.
There is a trail to the portage which we used for our packs rather than try to load/unload at the muddy portage landing.

Good site overall. Close to the portage, even has a little rat trail we followed from camp to the portage. Exposed on 3 sides, so a windy day at camp meant minimal relief. We were able to sit back on one of the tent pads and get wind protection which was nice, and still had great views! Very frequently used site but nice anyway.

The downside of the campsite is certainly that it is close to the portage, so not a good choice if solitude is your main goal. However, it is a beautiful spot for a small group of up to four people, more than that would get cramped. There is space for three tents if you scrunch them together, otherwise two is a better number. Real nice kitchen area, and plenty of trees for hammocks. The trail to the latrine is a bit muddy. I liked how it was right at water level with a 270 degree view

A little too close to the busy portage. Nice rock shelf for a canoe landing. Good mix of sun and shade.
