A dozen BWCA trips and this is one of the least appealing campsites I have stayed at. First the highlights: There was plenty of wood available, the shoreline had nice places to sit, we caught walleye, bass, and pike from shore, and the trees were spaced perfectly for hammocks and shade in the afternoon.
The landing was OK for a sideways load/unload. If wind is from the NE, it would be difficult to get in/out at this site.
This campsite barely has two small tent pads. Our two tents, each a four person, completely filled each pad. Both pads were sloped, we all slid downward every night. There might have been a third pad in the woods but it had a pool of water in the middle from the rain the night before.
The kitchen logs were getting pretty soft.
The biffy had the longest, most rocky trail I have ever seen. The footing was actually quite tricky...be careful if it is urgent!
