All of the sites on Peter are recovering from the large Cavity and Ham lake fires. Vegetation has regrown to 10 feet tall with lots of aspen, birch, and small pine and spruce. This is a tiny site on the lake that has not seen much recent use. Secluded and beautiful spot suitable for a solo or pair of campers, but not a group site at all. No suitable location for hanging a food pack away from bears. Not a spot for hammock camping. (Note: the review from 4/10/2020 is referencing the campsite 484, not this one.)

Wonderful campsite for a small group or solo paddler. Limited tent pads as the top of this site is almost entirely a single stone slab. Great fire pit area and five star cooking area. Stayed here two days. Great trout fishing on this lake.

Devastated by cavity lake fire. Still recovering. Unless you like very exposed, recent fire sites avoid this one.
