We entered at Brant with the intention of staying on Gillis. Every site was taken on Gillis when we got there at ended up here before we found a decent site. Great campsite at the end of a long day. Wouldn't be suitable for a large group. This site and Peter Lake are both beautiful!

All of the sites on Peter are recovering from the large Cavity and Ham lake fires. Vegetation has regrown to 10 feet tall with lots of aspen, birch, and small pine and spruce. This is the best site on the lake by far. Beautiful rock outcroppings situated high off the water, Several good spots for tents. No suitable location for hanging a food pack away from bears. Not a spot for hammock camping.

Flat and open site, with a couple well-protected tent pads in some young aspens. Big rocks good for sunning and probably for jumping into the lake, though it was cool and overcast while I was there so didn't get the chance. Will definitely come back here again. Didn't want to leave this site.

Wind blows out mosquitoes during summer. Not much wind protection, however. Good fishing for Lake Trout. Great spaces for drying things directly in the sun all day long if you wanted. Good site overall.

Devastated by cavity lake fire. Still recovering. Unless you like very exposed, recent fire sites avoid this one.
