Admittedly my rating may be effected by it being the last available site, but as the other reviewer stated it was better than feared. Pads were somewhat dispersed, with trees between. Nice view of small bay from the raised position of the fire ring. Not a lot of room for stacking boats, but a nice rock peninsula to sit in the late afternoon with a breeze to keep away the mosquitoes. 2022 was a bad mosquito year in general (though by our mid-August trip they weren’t as bad as earlier reports), and this site had more than others we stayed in, but it didn’t drive out the headsets. Lots of good hammock locations. The privy was a good distance from all tent pads, with plenty of privacy.

Last site available on Gillis after traveling further than we intended. Site was better than we hoped for considering. Lots of roots made it tricky to find a good tent pad but there were a few options. The best thing about the site was the seclusion. The portage is close but the site is tucked away.
