Great site with a beach and easy canoe landing. Large slabs to lounge on and a view across to Chatterton Falls which you can hear from camp. Plenty of space to spread out and plenty of trees to pitch a tarp. As an added bonus a perfectly level fallen tree acts as a stand-up kitchen.

Much of the site underwater in the big floods of May 2022. We passed on this one, as did other groups. Might be nice at normal water levels...

A very welcome campsite after paddling in the rain all day. Large open flat rock along shore. Don't recall # of tent pads but it is a large site. Strung up clothesline in morning and dried out all our clothes, tent, sleeping bags. Chatterton Falls was roaring due to 3" rain same week as ice-out. Quite spectacular. Caught a sauger in Russell.

Wide open site that meanders back into the woods (gets bramble-y). Great hearth but looks like it's been moved since the pictures in 2014 to abut the rock shelf. Plenty of shelter and beautiful, quiet sounds of the falls in the distance.

Nice site, but mosquitoes were HORRIBLE! Swarming in the middle of the afternoon. I've been paddling Quetico for 40 years and I've never seen a campsite like this that wasn't next to a swamp.

Very nice camp site within view of Chatterton Falls. The area has a nice rock ledge near the fire pit that can be used as a table. The put in and take out for canoes is pretty good as well. Only problem was a downed red pine in the site that required you to stoop under to get by. Would stay here again.

Large White Pine with heavily loosened root system leaning hard on Red Pine, when/if it falls campsite will change drastically. Possible risk as the trees are near fire ring. Beautiful site but exposed. View of the falls (slightly noisy).

One of the three best campsites on our 11 day trek. Easy take-out and put-in, good swimming, large granite slab for relaxing, dining. Perfect cook site - stand-up operation of the stove.

Nice site. Good landing. Good shelter. Lots of flat rocks for lounging. We fit 5 tents easily. One caution: there's a dead tree/widow maker in the middle of the site. Set tents at your own risk! Distant view of Chatterton Falls, a 5 minute paddle away.

Flat rock landing. Nice tent sites. Not overly scenic.
