This is a really nice beach campsite. There was plenty of room to explore down the shoreline and into the woods, and the beach itself is always a fun change of pace from the rock. The fire grate is a little lower than normal, so we had to clean out the old ashes to make room for a couple logs (thank to whoever wood-gnomed before us - what a blessing after 3.12" of rain the proceeding day!) Otherwise, this is just a nice spot to relax in the sand, enjoy the southern views, and dry out a bit if you have been dumped on by relentless rainclouds!

Nice, large campsite with a very easy sand landing for multiple canoes. Plenty of good tent pads and trees to hang a hammock/bear bag from. Plenty of space to fish from the shore and a beautiful view of Tuscarora. Fire grate isn't the best but plenty of space to prep food and it is right on the beach.

Large campsite. Take a break from the rocks! Easy sand landing for multiple canoes. Large sandy beach great for swimming. 2-3 large tent sites, many 1-3 person tent sites, a couple of group tarp locations, lots of hammock hanging space. Large, flat rocks on the shore for tent setup and for laying back and looking up at the evening sky. Fire grate/kitchen area could be bigger but is right on beach. Good food pack hanging trees.

We stayed here one night....awesome sandy beach, great rocks for sitting on. It would be a must stay on a hot summer day! View was beautiful.....only bad thing I would have to say about it is the fact that people stacked rocks up on the beach...nothing against the site, just a bummer that people don't honor the leave no trace

Sandy beach, kitchen close to the lake. Had to hang a tarp for privacy for the latrine. Lots of rocky terrain to explore nearby. Saw moose tracks along the beach when we arrived.

Approaching from the south use caution not to hug the east shore too close as there is a mine field of submerged boulders to navigate through. A great sandy beach with the best tent pad nearest the lake & the awesome firegrate area. Great spot for swimming as the sand stretches well out into the lake. Latrine doesn't necessarily provide adequate privacy within camp.
