Under the circumstances, I might say it was a five-star site: we were setting up for a westerly blow and rain, and this provided the shelter we needed from the wind. Had not been used in years, as there was a 3-foot tall tree in the fire ring. There are certainly nicer sites, but this one kind of saved our bacon, and for that we're grateful. There is a widowmaker that aces one potential tent site, but we still fit 3 tents and a Nemo Bugout comfortably. Good canoe landing.

Serviceable site, especially when everything else is taken (July, '06). Sloping rockface to water runs through camp. Stacked the tents in front of each other back into the woods. Is Shade the new Louisa Falls?
