A decent island site with a breeze and plenty of good pooping logs. This site is pretty good for single and 2-man tents. I’d recommend a couple of 2-man tents, max 3, although more will fit. Decent landings for 2 canoes, and adequate kitchen and fire pit. We didn’t sleep here, but had a quick, windy lunch on the nearby point on our way out while we pondered whether to crash whitecaps on Bayley Bay on Basswood Lake enroute to Prairie Portage or to hit the long portage out of Poacher Lake into Inlet Bay on Basswood Lake. —Ryan

Would be nice site if on a larger island or mainland. Ok landing, poor bear rope tree, adequate wood supply, sunny, fairly worn. Not recommended for large groups due to wear but could handle in a pinch.
