The fire grate is right next to the water. There are a lot of jack pines and cedars. The landing is OK - you can use the sloping rock/shelf to unload. There is a nice little cedar to tie the canoe to. Everything is close. The site is semi-open, but you still have shade.

I can't say I truly got to experience the best this campsite had to offer. We were in the middle of a rainstorm that eventually dumped 3.12", so after moving from Gillis, I was just happy to find a spot to pitch the tent that had good drainage and enough trees to rig our tarps! In better conditions, I think this would be a real nice spot, where Little Sag feels smaller and a little more wild. I could hear the rapids at the nearby portage in the morning when it was still and no longer raining.

Decent enough site except for the entire site is filled with ancient jack pine that are rotting away. One bad storm and this entire site blows down. I wouldn't stay here.

Nice site, stopped by for a rest and a bite to eat. Wouldn't hesitate to spend a few nights here.

Wonderful campsite. Close to the water, tons of firewood, lots of wildlife. 2 cows and 1 bull moose were feeding in the water. We also had a family of owls put on a show for us.
