Aug'17. Didn't stay here but checked it out. Landing is not that great but it is a climb to the camp site and fire pit. Once in camp it seems like it would be comfortable enough. Lots of firs and cedars but I wonder how it is if the wind really got going so far up on a hill.
Several lake trout down the main channel in deep water with crank bait. Nothing really big but fun.

One of our nicest sites during our 18-day trip, and well up off the water (30 feet or more). Requires hauling gear up to the site. Landings a bit tricky when wet in Spring. Nice kitchen and plenty of open space. Many red pines for shade. Good fishing nearby

This is a large site that gets heavy use. It's actually up the island a bit on the lake side from the marking on the map. I've camped there twice. The fire pit is extensive and very useful. The tent sites are flat. One is sunny and in the dirt but dry. The other is shady and in the grass but can flood in heavy rains. Fire wood is close to hand on an extensive trail system throught the island. Swimming is OK in the bay in front of the campsite. The site is not far from a trout reef and a good walleye spot (just beyond the small island). Have caught a six-pound smallie in the bay from shore.
