Okay site to use to spend the night right before exiting on Stanton Bay. Simple site with firepit overlooking water. Someone used the firepit as a garbage bin though, which seems to be common, so you would need to clean it out first to use the firepit. I don't see why some people can't carry their garbage the rest of the way and instead leave it all at the last site!

Used this before exiting the next morning. Fishing good right nearby. Unfortunately some asshats left a large pile of fish remains right in the camp. Still pisses me off. We disposed of them. We only set up the second tent after the fire was out for the evening as that pad is adjacent to the ring.
An OK but not a great site; if you want proximity to the Stanton Bay parking lot, the portage is only an 8 minute paddle. You'll likely see other canoes.

Site was small and with a huge tree down in the middle of it, making it even smaller. Not sure how one would get 2 tents up here but I guess you could. As previously stated, fishing was good in Stanton Bay. Very convenient for Stanton Bay pickup.

The campsite is what I would call "compact." Everything is close together - tent pads are near the kitchen, landing, and swimming area. The bottom is muddy. The latrine area is well used. The site was OK for one night, but I wouldn't want to spend an extended period of time there. The fishing in Stanton Bay was very good. It only takes a couple of minutes to paddle to the portage to the Stanton Bay parking lot.

Not a site I would use again, unless it is an emergency. We got three tents up, but the ground wasn't particularly flat. And the water is murky, and the bottom very muddy. Compared to many of the others we stayed at, this one was forgettable.
