Northern Highland American Legion State Forest Campsite T6 on Trout

This was a little hard for me to find since the sign is not visible from the water. It is four to five stars, depending on your tastes. There are two landings. The first is on a long sand spit. The sand goes a long ways into the water. The downside to this landing is that you have to walk through a bog with standing water to get to the site. The second landing is on the north side of the point, but it is a steep embankment. The site itself is open red pine and maple. Can put several tents in the main part of the site around the fire pit. The path to the latrine looks like an "enchanted forest." Could put a lot more tents back there, but the latrine is visible. Because of the swamp and bog right next to the site, it could be buggy (I was attacked going through the bog).
