Did not stay at site just checked for future use. Blow down and an "exploded" massive pine tree explained why it looked unused for a couple years. Lightning must have directly hit the tree and exploded it about 20 feet up then bounced and peeled the bark of the tree next to it. Very eerie. Must have been a bad day to see it happen. The fire ring is a work of mastery with a double oven / warming area. Site needs some TLC to be usable again. Very secluded area. Good smallmouth fishing in area.

Not too large, but very nice site. Very level and very easy elevation above water. Good landing. Good weather protection. Fire pit. Found lots of flint flakes, likely previously used by early Indian peoples.

Though this is a medium sized site, it is a good location, as it is adjacent to one of the lesser traveled areas of wide and busy Agnes lake. the East branch of the Agnes river doens't see as much traffic as the area around Louisa Falls. This means, among other things, not so many mine fields, better swimming, some solitude, and many choices f fishing spots. Overall a good site.
