Wonderful site! Beautiful views from camp. Plenty of good tent spots. Good hammock hanging trees with views. Fishing from camp was decent. The only drawback in my book was the relative proximity to a busy portage but I didn't see anyone there in October. :)

Pretty easy landing (more sand than rocks). Elevated location but an easy climb. The site is massive and a lot is rock. There are trails to explore other overlooks. Beach is shared with 559 (seems abandoned but we put one tent over there).

We base-camped here for 3 nights. The site is awesome. Plenty of space and great views. I'm sure there is good people watching when it gets busier.

This is a nice, elevated site with good views. Plenty of space in the kitchen area, but tarp hanging would be a bit tricky... thankfully we brought a couple of poles just in case. We were able to tie to 2 trees and use tent poles for the other 2 corners. Not many options for tent pads unless you want to post up on a large, flat rock. We managed 2 tents and 1 hammock. Latrine was pretty full. Landing was a nice sandy beach. The views certainly made the site. Would have given it 4 stars if the tent pad situation was better. Fishing wasn't great on this lake, but a cold and rainy front had just come in so that may be why.

Very nice campsite with large granite rocks to serve as a table. We pitched three tents here and the access was very nice.

Great, elevated site with awesome views of the lake. Decent landing with nice little sandy beach. Rock tent pads, but very flat and roomy. On a quite night it's easy to hear the nearby waterfalls on the lake.

Lovely site! Max tent pads only reached if you set up your tent on solid rock. Two spots in the main camp on dirt; one down to the east a bit apart from the main camp. Should be blueberries in season. Short walk to latrine...beware of down tree 5' up across trail (for some reason I was always knocking my head on it going back to camp from the latrine...I think I was looking down to zip my toilet paper ziplock bag or was looking down to navigate roots). May not be a problem for taller campers. Two landings to the site: the one around to the east (closest to the portage to Rib) is a lovely mini-beach. Good swimming area at "beach." (Beach, on land, is about 1' wide, but sand bottom extends into the water.)
Not sure about suitability for hammock camping.
Fire pit area is very open; no tarp hanging options right by the fire area.
Overall, I think this is a fantastic site. Loved the flat rocks overlooking lake, lots of nearby areas to explore from camp, nice swimming area, good sunset views. Can't comment on sunrise...wasn't awake at 5am. :) But I think you'd see sunrise from camp, too.

Rocky site though not bad, not the roomiest tent pads, landing is a little steep, friendly squirrel
