We ended up bypassing this site too. It's actually a nice site, but my group was feeling picky this day. I am happy to travel as long as they are, so off we went.

It has 2 large good tent pads and 2 small ones. Small sandy landing. It is in a shallow by or channel next to a burned island. Mostly protected, but a nice "sitting rock" to watch sunsets. Open layout around the kitchen and tent pads with cedar trees. Probably 3 1/2 stars.

Good site that had open areas but yet good tree cover. Bathroom was private and a ways down the path. View by firepit was a fire damaged island. Seemed like better sites on the western side of the lake.
