Excellent site! Great landing, bug-free, nice firepit and tent spots, really everything you could want from a campite. Highly recommended

Multi tier campsite, with 3 different levels and 3 "different" campsite locations. Primary campsite is fantastic, secondary western campsite seems to have been a "added" campsite for folks to stage and take over the premier campsite when they vacate. there is also a campsite on the eastern side of the island with 1 or 2 tent pads. All 3 have firepits, but ONLY the primary campsite location has what I would call an established firepit. Wood on the island is scarce, and we had to visit other islands and locations to collect firewood, even though we were there before Memorial day weekend.

Stayed here three days after arriving in driving rain. Campsite is wonderful, nice tent pads, beautiful sunset views and the best camp fire place i have seen in the quetico. It has three fire locations (move it around to stay out of the wind) centered around a massive stone boulder that is a great spot for a mid afternoon nap. Be wary to tie up your boats though. Had to swim to get mine because i didnt tie off. Fishing is wonderful to the north east, as a rock ridge runs between islands. Find the top and work your deep water and walleye jigs along till you find dinner.

I remember this as being a nice site on a 1995 trip, maybe even 5-star.

June 2008, stayed 2 nights & hated to leave. Easy canoe parking; several levels[water, fire, tent, up, up, . . .]; breezy & bug-free; 3 separate fireplaces [one being unsafe] the best one by large boulder [somewhat sun & wind exposed]; room for several Eureka 4-type tents; tall white and red pines, pine duff, trails; many shore rocks to sit on, fish from, wash; great view with pair of eagles nearby; EXCELLENT! fishing from shore and nearby.
