I debated between 3 and 4 stars and ultimately settled on 3. The wind probably influenced my choice. The landing on the north side of the peninsula is easy. There is another on the south side, but it is a hike to the campsite. The campsite is open to the northwest, so it can be breezy (or very windy in my case), but it also offers good views of the sunset. The area by the kitchen is flat but rocky - I would say this is best for the tarp instead of tents. The tent pads are on the way to the latrine. Speaking of the latrine, I paced it out at 230 yards!

Good gravel landing and wonderful views. It would be nicer if the firepit took advantage of the great views to the East. Ridiculously long jaunt to the John. Small hidden sandy beach on South side.

Very nice campsite with lots of room for other tent sites in the back of the main campsite. Enjoyed our stay here.

Sprawling elevated peninsula site with good views for sunrise & sunsets. Wouldn't go so far as to say it has a beach but, there are sandy shores. I would give it 5 stars save for 3 things. 1. Lots of traffic passing nearby. 2. Loooong trail to the latrine. 3. Tarp options near the fire grate will require a long ridge line (sagging issues).
