We regretted our decision to bypass this amazing site for the sake of going further. The beautiful sitting rocks dispersed amongst majestic pines make this a classic BWCA site that I wouldn't hesitate to stay at.

Canoe landing is on the east side with a little hike up to the camp area. Nice roomy campsite and good kitchen area / fire grate with a good view of the lake to the north. Hiking trails that will take you to the other 2 campsites on the island.

Stayed here mostly to have close access to the Sioux Hustler Trail but ended up really enjoying this site. Has a little bit of everything. Pretty good landing, a really nice kitchen area and a lot of tent pad options. Was able to catch a number of smb from the site and even more if you paddle to the north shore line and troll the weed line.

The only reason this isn't a 5 star sight is because the best canoe landing is off the east of the campsite. Otherwise, fantastic site that shielded us from all bad weather unless it was coming from the north. Fishing on the lake was terrible, even for early September. Good trails for exploring and a neat little bay to catch panfish from. From what we could tell, best site on the lake.

OK landing, A little climb up to the site. A few good pads and an ok fire pit that coupld use some TLC when we were there. Lots of trails for exploring the island and good fishing to the NW by the portage to Heritage.
