In a shallow bay. Landing is difficult. Rock shelf, but the shelf is pretty steep. Hard to keep footing. In front of the site is a sandy, gravel bottom, but it is also weedy. There is no real view from the campsite. There are a lot of trees (not open like many campsites). Tent pads are back in the trees. Someone made a nice log bench/table in the kitchen. It was the least desirable campsite that we visited on the lake.

Decent site tucked away in a shallow bay. Landing is ok, large rock that isn't very flat. Site has limited viewing of the lake, lots of tree cover, limited opportunities for a breeze so bugs could be bad. Decent fire grate area (see picture) with all of the tent pads further up the hill. Lots of downed trees so finding firewood was easy. No easy bear trees, so we did the two tree method.
All of the sites we wanted were taken on the West side of the lake so we ended up here. It wasn't bad but was missing some of the good things I like about BWCA camping.
