Stayed here for over a week. This beach consists of three campsites and each one can hold many tents. With the beach, this must be considered a 5 star site. I don't know what one is if this isn't one. Plenty of flat space for many tents. Plenty of play room. Called in Barred owls. Saw loons. Caught fish. Had turtles visit. Crows awakened us. It was great.

Have stayed here many times over the years. It is called "The Pines" because of the huge red and white pines along the shore. Most of the massive pines blew down a few years ago, which did make the site a little less attractive. Still a great site, though. Sand beach is about 400 meters long, and there are several spots along the beach to camp. It is an amazing swimming beach. We had some very good fishing at the northern point and out in front of the site.

One of the greatest sites I have ever been to. Massive area for tents, great firepit, and the beach is one of the best natural features of the park.

Stayed here June 2008. We stayed at the location by the pool with the metal fire grate. High winds forced us to stay here, and fortunately it was a decent site for 3 tents. Nice sand beach. Caught some northerns in the pool.

Stayed here July 2008. Before the pines blew down, this must have been a 5-star site. It's still nice, but lacks the shade it once had and also lacks what would have been once-good bathroom sites -- there's still room & it's not overused, but squatting spots are in dense, buggy new growth. This site has a rock ring. There is a similar site (more shade but also more bugs near to the "pool" in the aerial shot) 100m south along the beach. The south site has a metal fire grate. 1SB to the north I didn't enter but I'm sure it's nice as it was occupied by a guy on his 121st Q trip!
