This one is tough to rate. 4-5 star landing spot, beautiful views, good fishing, good access to Glacier, etc. However, probably only 1-2 flat tent pads; the rest are cut out and sloped. The entire island does have slope change which is beautiful but will wear you down a bit. I thought there was plenty of firewood, etc.
I still really liked the site, and will say 3.5 stars overall.....

Not sure why this is called the Hilton. It is wide open with no protection from the wind. Lots of widowmakers. Only found one spot that we felt safe for a tent. The beach is nice and the site is huge. Hard to find a bear bag tree and fire wood is scarce. Very worn site. Love the lake but not staying on this site again.

Heavily used site set in red pines. Sloping, with some tent pads dug out of slope. I refer to this site as the "Redneck Site".

July 2006 - Camp in very good/excellent condition. Four pads and strategic location on the route from Louisa to Falls Chain/Kawnipi make this site a "must have" for large groups headed to Kawnipi.

Almost no level ground. All tent pads are terraced. Nice fire pit area and beach-like landing area. Spectacular views and fishing. Popular site.

The "Hilton". Overused site with fire area and tent pads terraced on hillside. Excellent gravel/sand landing among towering pines.
