Would be a beautiful site, but it is no longer legal to camp here or on the closest three islands just SW. This is per Lief at Cache Bay Ranger Station.

This is a great campsite, or at least it was 10 years ago. It covers a large area and the trees are open. I would stay here again if I go to the mouth of the Wawiag and was too tired to paddle to the island. Which is why I statyed here the first time. It was a great site.

Next to swamp so there can be lots mosquitoes if there is no breeze. Good fishing. Great view.

June 2008. Easy access, fair fireplace, good food pack tree, sloped tent area, fair view to W-SW, a welcome site after a tiring trip down Greenwood Creek/Wawiag River, but not one I'd pick otherwise. I'd give it a 2.75.

The old Indian Village is said to be at this location. It is a nice hilly spot with a good view of the sunset, and moose viewing opportunities nearby. Fairly hilly, and good sized.
