As of this writing the ratings average at 4 stars for this site. Please share whatever you've been smoking, previous reviewers. Two stars is about right. Sheltered, but limited view. Deadfall limits use a bit; very buggy and compact site. Not much to the kitchen. Shallow water; poor swimming and fishing.
Likely much better for early or late season use.
If you have a smaller group, the site 150m WNW is better, and the one 450m SE is far far better for any size group.

Nice island campsite for 4-6 people. The best canoe landing is in cove on the backside of the site.

A nice site, positioned well for the first night on the Falls Chain route.

This campsite is quite nice, it has been a first day rest stop for many trips I have taken into the quetico. There are two good stone tent pads, with a possible additional third to the west side of camp. Nice gravel landing and out of water storage for your boats just to the west of camp. We have dubbed this Turtle island due to the family of medium sized turtles which we discovered living just south of camp.
