I agree with the advice from the previous post...make sure you look for the creek in the middle of the beach...we didn't see the "official" campsite until we were set up on the west side of the creek.
That said, we actually liked our little spot better than the "official" site...we had a lovely little spot where we could set up two tents on the moss (instead of pure sand), had a great sunset view and the breeze off the lake kept the bugs down. The proper site has no view of the lake, and being closed in was quite buggy.
FANTASTIC swimming beach.

This is a large, wide beautiful beach that's divided by a tiny creek in the middle. The main tenting area is on the east side and elevated behind the trees. Lots of room for tents and some hammock options. There is another tent pad on the west side of the creek. Don't confuse this for main site.

Lovely beach site with sheltered area for tents. Beach is definitely 5*, great sand, no much, fabulous for swimming. Tent/cooking area does not have a great view and was buggy because it is so sheltered.

Not really a 5-star in my opinion. It's nice and offers lots of space when including across the little creek. The beach is five-star however. Goes out for quite some time without muck.

Nice sandy beach with shallow water for a large distance from the shore. Nice pine needle carpet under pines at tent pads and fireplace.

Stayed here in 2008 and if my memory is accurate it was a great beach site. The tenting and cooking areas were shaded and sheltered. This was the type of beach where one could wade out very far from shore. Also had great opportunity for sunset viewing.
